The boot drive

AArch-OS lives on a virtual hard drive, stored as a disk image file on the host system. The drive is formatted with a GUID Partition Table (GPT) and contains two partitions:

  • BOOT – a 128 MiB EFI System Partition, holding the bootloader and related files
  • DATA – a 894 MiB data partition, holding the main filesystem, which contains other OS files and user data

Both partitions are formatted with the FAT32 filesystem.
